Boca Grande opened its first location in Porter Square back in 1986. After thirty years of success and five locations later, in 2016, the original owner decided it was time to retire. Up for the challenge, Silvia Whitman, a Boca Grande employee of 25 years, who served as the district general manager for all five locations stepped into the ownership role at the restaurant. Although the core of the menu has always remained the same, Whitman has preserved the taqueria’s legacy by embracing customer suggestions.

Your Health is important to us at Boca Grande and that is why we take special efforts to serve foods that are natural and unadulterated.

We will not use proven unhealthy ingredients such as hydrogenated oils or trans-fats. Our food contains no preservatives, artificial flavorings, or flavor enhancers such as MSG. We use no processed foods, canned foods, or frozen foods.
